This is a simple cooking apron.
It is a neat apron for a cook, housekeeper or kitchen-maid. The bib is
plain and pins to the gown at the corners (hence its being sometimes
called a ‘pinner’). This apron is most suitably made of cotton check or
strong linen (it is shown in a linen check fabric).
